Khacholing’s Translator and Spritual Programs Coordinator: Pemba Sherpa
Pemba Sherpa received his ordination vow in 1984 at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. He has studied all of the ritual arts, and received all of the major Sutra and Tantra teachings. In 1992 he joined Drepung Loseling Monastery where he continued his studies, while also working as a social worker at the Doeguling Tibetan Family Helper Project. He then studied at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies at Sarnath, Varanasi, India, for nine years, completing the Acharya (Masters) degree. In 2008, he lived in England, where he completed the one-year Intensive English Course.
